BreatheWorks provides speech, TMJ, and oromyofunctional therapy in Portland, OR, serving adults and children across North Portland and the broader metro. You’ll find us near the North Lombard Transit Center with easy access from I-5 and multiple TriMet routes. We accept most major plans (incl. Aetna, Regence BCBS, Moda, Providence, PacificSource, CareOregon, Medicare, United, and more), and offer both in-person and telehealth visits so you can start sleeping, breathing, talking, eating—and feeling—better.

Corinne Jarvis, M.S., CEO
Founder | Speech-Language Pathologist
Corinne Jarvis, M.S., is the Founder and CEO of BreatheWorks and a Speech-Language Pathologist with a clinical focus on oropharyngeal dysfunction, oromyofunctional disorders, TMD, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), mouth breathing, and EDS. She works with patients across the lifespan, from infants through geriatrics, and is deeply passionate about expanding access to care through a whole-patient approach. Corinne is driven by complex, hard-to-solve problems and is committed to building world-class care teams that deliver thoughtful, interdisciplinary treatment.
Corinne earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders and Sciences and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Portland State University in 2005. She has advanced training in oromyofunctional disorders, TMD, OSA, mouth breathing, and EDS. Her background includes private practice in New York City and Oregon, fellowship training at The Hearing and Speech Institute, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team. She is affiliated with ASHA, IAOM, AAPMD, and The Breathe Institute.
As the founder of BreatheWorks, Corinne is passionate about leading the field in whole-patient care, teaching and learning alongside her team, and expanding access to high-quality services. She takes pride in creating strong clinical teams and advancing care models that support better outcomes for the patients and families BreatheWorks serves.
Outside of work, Corinne enjoys paddle boarding, biking around Portland, spending time with her husband and three children, and playing with her dog.
Katelyn “Kate” Crimmins, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist | Clinical Director
Katelyn “Kate” Crimmins, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in voice and swallowing disorders across the lifespan, with a special interest in gender-affirming voice care. She also serves as the Clinical Director at BreatheWorks, where she is committed to supervising and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
Kate earned her master’s degree in Speech and Communication Sciences from Boston University and has completed additional training in orofacial myofunctional disorders. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and is licensed in Oregon and Washington.
Her clinical background includes work with pediatric and adult populations in the areas of speech sound production, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), vocal health, and myofunctional disorders. Kate uses an evidence-based, individualized approach to care and believes in creating a fun, functional environment that supports meaningful communication progress for patients and families.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys crafting, camping, and adventuring with her partner and pup.
Riley Gintz, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Riley Gintz, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in orofacial myofunctional therapy and speech sound disorders. She also provides care in manual therapy, language, fluency, and hearing-related communication needs, with a passion for helping patients build stronger communication skills and improve quality of life through individualized, evidence-based care. Riley earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University in 2024.
She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in Oregon.
Her clinical background includes experience in audiology, school-based settings, and private practice. Riley has supported newborn hearing screenings as a newborn hearing screener and worked as an audiology technician at Oregon Health & Science University, where she assisted with hearing assessments for both pediatric and adult patients. She also has experience evaluating and treating a wide range of communication disorders in children. Riley’s approach to care is rooted in active listening, genuine connection, and individualized treatment planning. She believes patients should feel heard, supported, and valued throughout therapy, and she strives to create a positive, engaging environment where progress feels both empowering and enjoyable.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, and traveling.
Chanel Mercado, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Chanel Mercado, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in speech sound disorders, Spanish-English bilingual language disorders, and oromyofunctional therapy. She is passionate about supporting school-aged children in developing effective communication skills that improve participation, confidence, and quality of life.
Chanel earned her master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University.
She has completed advanced training in bilingual assessment and intervention, oromyofunctional therapy, and evidence-based practices for school-based speech-language services.
She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), is licensed in Oregon, and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Her clinical experience includes work in school-based and clinic-based settings. Chanel uses an evidence-based, functional, and individualized approach to care, with an emphasis on collaboration with patients and families to support meaningful, real-life communication goals. She also incorporates play-based therapy and engaging therapeutic activities to build motivation and support progress.
Outside of work, Chanel enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling.
Daniel Allen Hill, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.)
Allen is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 22 years of distinguished service. Throughout his military career, he specialized in planning, operations, logistics, host nation liaison and training, leading Soldiers and civilians during peacetime and combat operations.
During his time in service, LTC Hill served in a variety of leadership roles supporting conventional and Special Operations Commands, including, Company Commander, Platoon Leader, Battalion Logistics Officer, Air Operations Officer, Detachment Commander, Director of Public Affairs, Regimental Public Affairs Officer, and other key staff developmental roles. He has deployed multiple times to Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and other areas throughout the Middle East and Europe, in support of contingency and humanitarian efforts.
Education & Professional Development Allen earned his bachelors in Political Science and History from Kennesaw State University. His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, the Command and General Staff College, the Public Affairs and Communications Strategy Qualifications Course, the Basic Airborne Course, the Mechanized Leader’s Course, the Joint Special Operations Public Affairs Course, and the Red Team Operational Planning Training Course.
Awards & Honors His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (third award), the Meritorious Service Medal (fifth award), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (fifth award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (fourth award), the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and multiple campaign, unit and foreign awards.
Transition & Current Focus Following retirement, Allen served as the Senior Army Instructor for the Person High School Junior ROTC Program. He is focused on transferring his experience into the next challenge and building an environment that fosters the values developed during his time in service. He brings a mission-focused mindset and a strong commitment to teamwork and excellence.
Personal Interests Outside of professional pursuits, Allen enjoys mentoring veterans, fitness, travel, music, cooking, and volunteering.
Hannah Hart, M.S., CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow
Hannah Hart, M.S., CF-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow who works with clients across a wide range of communication needs, including voice disorders, oral myofunctional and structural disorders, cognitive-communication challenges, speech sound disorders, pragmatics, and expressive and receptive language goals. She is passionate about helping clients and families build confidence through functional, collaborative care.
Hannah earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Akron. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and brings several years of prior experience in neurological clinical research. She is a Clinical Fellow working toward her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), holds Oregon conditional licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Her clinical experience includes work in early childhood, school-age, and adult rehabilitation settings. Hannah uses an evidence-based, individualized approach to care and values close collaboration with clients and families to create a positive, supportive therapy environment grounded in real-life communication needs and functional goals.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys singing opera arias, reading widely, watching a good movie, attending concerts, and staying active through yoga, running, and swimming. She also loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and son.
